While Chrysler took advantage of the superior technology and got the old E-class underpinnings to engineer the new 300 sedan, it was still designed and conceived as an American car. Nowadays all car companies are international. There is parts and technology sharing going on with everybody. Even the beloved Mustang has foreign parts and engineering in it. So for all intents and purposes, it is quite fair to say that Barack does indeed drive an American car.
