Chrysler’s Dodge Avenger and Chrysler Sebring sedans are losing in sales to their competitors.  The Chevrolet Malibu, Ford Fusion and Honda Accord all had sales increase 10 percent or more this year, while the Sebring’s sales have dropped 30 percent.

The federal government has recently announced that 5,509 2008 Dodge Chargers and Magnums, along with some 2008 Chrysler 300 vehicles, are being recalled for a problem that was first spotted in March on a 2009 Dodge Challenger pilot vehicle. Chrysler Cutting Minivan Production

The largest privately owned automobile manufacturer is cutting back on 2,400 jobs and closing two plants that make mini-vans. Given Chrysler created this category of automobile, this is a major blow.
